Train ticket prices between the UK and the EU will drop
A cut in the price of rail tickets between the UK and Europe is likely to take place in April as costs for train operators come down.
Britain’s Rail and Roads Office has ordered that the High Speed 1 (HS1) tunnel, used by Eurostar to travel between London and the Channel Tunnel, which connects Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, must be 10.4- who will reduce the fees of train operators.% until April 2025.
HS1, which is owned by private investors, said it plans to cut costs by up to 16.5% and hopes operators will pass the cost cuts on to passengers.
Le Grand Tour France train opens reservations
Le Grand Tour France, a new luxury train ride unveiled by French theme park manager Puy du Fou, will launch this year.
The trip offers a tour of France, its top attractions and the insightful shows of the Puy du Fou over a five or six-day 4,000km journey.
The train, emblematic of Belle Époque design, features a bar car offering high-end mixology and live music, and a restaurant car with a three-Michelin-starred chef creating dishes using fresh seasonal and regional ingredients picked up along the way.
It also offers three types of spacious rooms depending on the number of residents: Suite for one to three travelers; and adjoining room for two to five travelers Each room includes its own shower, bath and butler.
Excursions include visits to galleries, national and historical monuments, live music and theater performances, gastronomic experiences, architectural tours and educational meet and greets with master craftsmen.
Vietnam releases the gorgeous La Reine
On December 24, Vietnam Railways Corporation launched its luxury tourist train, La Rain, at Da Lat Station in the Central Highlands of Lam Dong to serve passengers on the Da Lat-Trai Mat route.
The train offers commercial cabins with 36 seats and private cabins with 12 seats, designed with an open seating plan to accommodate musical performances during the journey, with refreshments served en route.
Da Lat and Trai Mat are famous for attractions that include Datanla Falls, Crazy House, Truc Lam Monastery, Valley of Love and beautiful pagodas.
