Today (January 20), SAA has resumed daily flights between Johannesburg and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The daily flight departs from Johannesburg at 22:00 and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 02:30 the next day.The return flight departs from Dar es Salaam at 05:10 and arrives in Johannesburg at 07:55.
Dar es Salaam is an important regional economic and logistics hub. The city acts as a gateway to popular tourist destinations in the region and is a corporate destination for South Africans, who account for a significant proportion of foreign direct investment in Tanzania.
“This flight is more than just a milestone for SAA and connects Johannesburg and Dar es Salaam via air travel; it heralds a bridge connecting Africa’s two most influential economies,” said the professor. John LamolaInterim CEO of SAA.
Lamola added that the relaunch represents a strategic initiative by SAA to strengthen the airline’s presence in Africa For Africa’s broader economic growth.”
