Emirates ups direct service to Melbourne

Emirates will introduce a third daily non-stop service between Dubai and Melbourne from 30 March 2025.

The flight will be operated by a newly upgraded four-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, equipped with the airline’s premium economy products and the latest generation of business class seats.

The airline currently operates two daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Melbourne using four-class Airbus A380s, and a daily flight between Dubai and Melbourne via Singapore using a Boeing 777-300ER.

Emirates operations between Singapore and Melbourne will cease on March 30, and the airline plans to operate a third direct Dubai-Melbourne flight and a fourth Dubai-Singapore flight with the new flights.

The new third daily non-stop service will operate as follows:

  • Flight EK404 will depart Dubai at 21:15 and arrive in Melbourne at 17:40 the following day.
  • Return flight EK405 will depart Melbourne at 23:55 and arrive in Dubai at 07:00 the following day.

Emirates’ recently refurbished Boeing 777 includes eight first class suites, 40 business class seats, 24 premium economy seats and 256 economy class seats.
