Air Tanzania banned from EU airspace

The European Commission has added Air Tanzania to the EU aviation security list, banning flights within the EU.

“The latest update adds Air Tanzania to the list based on safety concerns identified by the European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency,” said the Commission, which did not name any specific violations.

The airline was later denied a Third Country Operator (TCO) permit by the EU.

The list was compiled by the European Commission based on accident reports, which monitors and analyzes events related to civil aviation safety.

Air Tanzania, represented by TravelVision in South Africa, has launched flights to Johannesburg in November 2024, according to reports. Travel news.
